We Have a Court Date!!!

We finally got the word today that we have a court date to finalize Haylie's adoption for Monday, January 14, 2008!!!!! We are soooooooooo excited, but didn't get much notice to make travel arrangements. We will leave next Friday the 11th. We had wanted to leave the 10th which would have given us a day of rest in Moscow before flying on to Kemerovo where court will be held. But the Russian Consulate is closed for the holidays and doesn't reopen until Jan. 9. So now we have to pray that they will overnight us our visa on the 10th so we can leave on the 11th. Please say lots of prayers for us that all goes smoothly and safely. We've been waiting so long, but now that we actually have a date, of course we will be running around like chickens without their heads to get everything together to go. I'll post more details later--just wanted everybody to hear our big news!!!

There is so much to be done so quickly, but it is going to be so well worth everything you have been through to bring this sweet baby home to us where we can all just love her to pieces. Remember she will be having a difficult time too--not with red tape as you have, but being so scared of us all and the difference of the language to say nothing of the plane trip when you have never even been out of a building that has been your home for so long. We are all praying everything will come together for the trip and that our darling baby will be able to adjust to all of us and just soak up all the love we have to give her.
